Beautiful illusion of smoke from a cigarette flowing up and winding into a woman. One of Icart's most famous etchings, Illusion is truly a collectors etching and has held is value throughout the years.
Illusion is in excellent condition, previously professionally cleaned and preserved. No foxing, toning, matte burn, adhesive or damage anywhere, very clean sheet throughout. Strong plate lines, windmill blind stamp, pencil signature are all present and as they should be. The copyright stamp located in the upper left margin reads "Copyright by 1940 by L.Icart .N.Y.
