Louis Icart “Eve” 1928 original hand signed etching. Eve is draped over a fur rug surrounded by the apples from the tree of knowledge. Icart added the serpent as an arm bangle. This particular etchings serpent is one of the rarer colored, a majority of the serpents are green and seen in a lot of his etchings. One of his most elegant etchings. This is the sister etching to "Venus".

Vintage frame with complimenting tones of gilt and burgundy.

The etching is in good vintage condition, no tears, rips or creasing Mild even toning and a few foxing areas are seen in the photos. Specifically above the “Eve” model.

Strong plate lines, vivid aquatint coloring, windmill blind stamp, pencil signature and copyright stamp are present and correct.
